Delhi Metro To Intensify Security Checks

On the other hand, security checks at all Delhi Metro stations will be intensified from Sunday to August 16 as part of enhanced arrangements ahead of Independence Day.

According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the intensified screening by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) may lead to longer queues at some metro stations, particularly during peak hours.

The DMRC, in a statement, said passengers have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and allow additional time for commuting during the period. The corporation also urged commuters to cooperate with security personnel during the enhanced security checks to ensure smooth passenger movement.
