Railways News: In a major updates for the railway passengers, Train Number 13288/13287 Durg-Ara-Durg South Bihar Express has been restored to its full scheduled route for entire August. Earlier, its route was changed due to maintenance and development works in Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway. However, the train will operate on its usual route in August amid high demands from the devotees travelling to Baba Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar on the occasion of Shravani Mela.
South Bihar Express To Run On Full Route
Earlier, the railways had decided to operate the South Bihar Express only between Durg and Rourkela due to the maintenance works. However, the railway administration decided to run the train on the entire route considering the large crowds of pilgrims during Sawan. The railways stated that the operation of South Bihar Express on its usual route will provide convenience to thousands of passengers.

While providing details, the authority stated that train number 13288 Ara to Durg will operate via the diverted Chandil-Kandra-Sini route on August 6, 13, 20 and 27. However, Durg to Ara (Train Number 13287) will run via its regular route on August 7, 14, 21 and 28. The passengers have been advised to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconveniences.
Earlier on July 18, the railway informed that train number 04014 Anand Vihar-Laukaha Bazaar Special will continue to operate every Monday and Thursday till August 13. It further stated that train number 04013 Laukha Bazaar-Anand Vihar Special will run every Tuesday and Friday till August 18. The special train will pass through several stations, including Jhanjharpur, Sakri, Sitamarhi, Raxaul, Narkatiaganj, Bagaha, and Gorakhpur.
The authority stated that train number 05506 Saharsa-Purnia Court Special will run every Friday and Sunday till July 31, and the 05505 Purnia Court-Saharsa Special will run every Monday and Wednesday till August 3. Apart from this, train numbers 05543 Raxaul-Narkatiyaganj Special and 05544 Narkatiyaganj-Raxaul Special will run every Thursday and Saturday till September 26.
