Santragachi-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express: Indian Railways is all set to revolutionize long-distance travel with the launch of the Santragachi-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express, connecting two of India's major metropolitan hubs which is Kolkata and New Delhi. The train’s inaugural run is scheduled for January 18, marking the beginning of a significant new service that promises to strengthen the country’s railway infrastructure and offer improved connecting West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh with Delhi.
Once operational, the Amrit Bharat Express will cover the 1,452 kilometers between Howrah and Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT) in just 27 hours and 40 minutes, making it an ideal option for long-haul passengers.
Howrah-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express Inaugural Run: Train Number and Route
The Howrah-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Sleeper Express will take its maiden journey on January 18, under the train number 03065. This inaugural service will run between Santragachi (located near Kolkata) and Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi.
The train's route will pass through several important stations, including Bandel, Dhanbad, Sasaram, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Lucknow, Moradabad, and Hapur, making it a vital link across multiple states in eastern and northern India.
Santragachi-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express: Check Inaugural Stoppages
The inaugural special, train number 03065, will stop at 26 stations along its route. These stations include: Howrah, Bandel, Barddhaman, Durgapur, Asansol, Dhanbad, NSC Bose J Gomo, Parasnath, Koderma, Gaya, Anugrah Narayan Road, Dehri-on-Son, Sasaram, Bhabua Road, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Varanasi, Jaunpur City, Sultanpur, Nihalgarh, Lucknow, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Gajraula, Hapur, and Ghaziabad.

Santragachi-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express: Check Inaugural Special Timetable
The first journey of the Santragachi–Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express will depart from Santragachi at 14:45 hrs. The train will then stop at Howrah at 15:35 hrs and Bandel at 16:35 hrs, before reaching its final destination, Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT), at 21:30 hrs on the following day.

The train route passes near several of India’s renowned tourist and pilgrimage sites, such as the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the country’s most revered shrines; the Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO Heritage Site linked to Lord Buddha’s life; Lucknow, known for its Nawabi culture; and Delhi, home to iconic landmarks like the Red Fort and Qutub Minar.
