Passengers travelling across Mumbai, Pune and nearby regions may face disruptions over the coming days as the Central Railways (SER) has announced cancellations of several passenger and long-distance trains due to restoration work on the Lonavala-Karjat section hit by landslides. The cancellations have been announced from July 10 to July 17.
To ensure passengers' safety, the railways have begun efforts to restore all three lines hit by landslides amid heavy monsoon rains. However, the Central Railways has stated that due to ongoing weather conditions, the damage control work may take time, making cancellation for a temporary period necessary.
