Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) took action against the spice and dry fruit shop owned by the family of Siya Goyal, the main accused in the murder of Pune real estate businessman Ketan Agarwal. Citing violations, the authorities issued a notice to the shop to close its operations until further notice. The shop, M/s BG Goyal & Company, is located in Market Yard, Pune.
Why Action Against Shop
During the inspection, it was found that the shop had not complied with the required regulations under the Food Safety and Standards Act. Following this, the department took action and ordered the shop to cease operations.
The FDA team collected samples of four food products, including turmeric powder, sesame seeds, and soybean dal, branded as Sant and Sadhu, for testing. Approximately 4,172 kilograms of food items, valued at approximately Rs 8.14 lakh, were seized.

The department suspects labelling errors and adulteration of these products. Furthermore, necessary licensing information was not updated on time.
Cops Travel To Rajasthan To Siya's Marriage With Chetan
Meanwhile, the Pune Police Crime Branch team investigating the Ketan Agarwal murder case visited Rajasthan's Sikar on Wednesday to probe Siya's alleged marriage with Chetan Choudhary. Police personnel reached the Khatu Shyam temple to verify reports of an alleged marriage. They examined the CCTV footage, but found no evidence confirming the marriage.
The investigation had revealed that Siya and her alleged lover, Chetan, travelled to Rajasthan in December last year. Police received indications from chats between the two that they secretly married in a temple there.
Siya and Chetan are accused of pushing Ketan Agarwal into a ravine while trekking at Lohagad Fort in Pune district on June 18. Both are currently in judicial custody.
