Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra on Thursday alleged that she was misbehaved and harassed on an Indigo flight to Delhi. Mahua posted a video clip on social media, saying she was travelling to Delhi on official business to attend a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence when she was misbehaved.
The TMC MP stated that she was seated in seat 1F on Indigo flight 6E-719 and four to six men boarded the plane together and, staring at her, moved to the rear of the plane. She further said that after the flight arrived in Delhi and before the door opened, the men behaved inappropriately towards her and even filmed it. She stated that this was not a form of civic outrage, but rather a clear form of harassment and a security breach.
A loud sloganeering - 'Jai Shree Ram' and 'Trinamooler sob Chor' - can be heard in the video posted by the TMC leader on X.
"ALERT! i travelled to Delhi today on official work to attend a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence. Was on seat 1F on 6E 719. 4-6 men boarded in a group & leered at me & went to back of plane. When flight landed & before doors opened this is what they did & filmed it . This is no “citizen anger”. This is harassment & violates my safety in an aircraft. No way that these louts can get away with this harassment inside an airplane. @IndiGo6E find your crew report, name & shame them & put on no flynlist @RamMNK please take action. @MamataOfficial @yadavakhilesh @RahulGandhi @ArvindKejriwal @mkstalin," her X post read.

Moitra Demands Action
Moitra urged Indigo Airlines to release its crew report, identify the accused, and place them on a no-fly list to prevent future flights. She also sought action from Union Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu. The MP said such behaviour on board cannot be ignored and strict action should be taken against the culprits. She also tagged Opposition leaders: Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal and MK Stalin, seeking their attention.
