The mother of the 19-year-old girl from Tripura, who was allegedly assaulted by her live-in partner in Gurugram, shared harrowing details about a call her daughter made to her on February 16, in which she warned that the accused would kill her.
"On February 16 at 10 PM, my daughter called me and said, 'I don't have time, I will be killed. A man named Shivam has been assaulting me for the last 3 days. He hit me and also burnt me, he will kill me today...'," the victim's mother told news agency ANI.
According to her, the accused identified as Shivam from Delhi's Narela, whom she met via a dating app, had lured her with marriage promises after they connected online. Instead, he locked her in a room for three days, unleashing sadistic cruelty. He urinated on her, burned her private parts multiple times daily with sanitiser-fuelled flames, slashed her body with a knife- including her legs and recorded nude videos for blackmail.
The FIR reveals that the alleged accused brutally thrashed the victim. It is alleged that he attacked her head with a steel bottle, smashed her head against the wall and furniture, hit her with an earthen pot, and even attempted to set her private parts on fire after pouring sanitiser on them.

"She informed me that Shivam locked her in a room for three days and urinated on her. He also burnt her private parts three times a day for the last three days. He used a knife to cut her body in various places. My daughter had come to Gurugram to study Biotechnology. She met Shivam, the accused, through an online app. Shivam raped my daughter as well. Under the pretext of marrying her, he did all of this to her. The condition of my daughter is dire..." the mother said.

The brutal incident took place in the Badshahpur police station area of Gurugram. A case has been filed under multiple serious charges, and the police have launched an investigation.
On February 18, the victim managed to use the accused’s phone to tell her mother everything in Bengali, as the accused did not understand the language. Her mother then called 112, and the police arrived at the scene, admitting the victim to a government hospital. Sections 115, 118(1), 118(2), 127(2), 69, and 351(2) of BNS have been invoked in the FIR.
