The three-month-long skydiving festival has begun in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday, providing an opportunity for the adventure enthusiasts to get a glimpse of the city of Mahakal from 10,000 feet. This is the fourth edition of the festival by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board. Providing details regarding the skydiving festival, SK Srivastava, Joint Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, said that the initiative was to promote adventure tourism in the state.
"The Skydiving festival was inaugurated at Datana Airstrip located on Dewas road in Ujjain on Saturday to promote adventure tourism in the state. Under the festival, people will get a thrilling experience to enjoy the view of the city from the sky for three months," Srivastava was quoted as saying by ANI.

Ujjain Skydiving Festival: Venue, Date And Timings
The interested people can experience the thrill of flying in the sky at Datana Airstrip in Ujjain. The festival, which began on September 9, 2024 will continue for the next three months until February 9, 2025. The timings for the skydiving festival are from 8 am to 5 pm.

Who Can Go Skydiving In Ujjain? Know Eligilbility, Documents Required
There are some eligibility criteria that one needs to fulfill to enjoy the Skydive. The participant must be older than 16 years and must not weigh more than 90 kg.
A medical fitness certificate is also compulsory to participate.
One has to go through an hour of ground training before the thrill, and an instructor is there all the time for the assistance. During the freefall, one is strapped to an instructor, and they share a parachute. The instructor regulates the pace of the freefall, which makes it safe.
