The Aligarh district police were taken by surprise after receiving an investigation order from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) regarding a series of unusual complaint letters submitted through the IGRS portal, jagran.com reported.
The complainant has been identified as Akbar, a resident of the Bannadevi area in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. He submitted two letters on September 29 and November 24. In one letter, he claimed that the Red Fort, Agra Fort, and Qutub Minar were his personal properties and demanded that they be vacated immediately.
He added that if this was not done, he should be compensated with “any amount of money” he asked for. He also sought a personal meeting with the Prime Minister.
In his second letter, Akbar alleged that opposition party leaders were plotting to murder him. He claimed that a sum of Rs 1 crore had been paid to have him killed and listed the names of ten prominent politicians from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, and Aligarh.

When the district police reached out to him, the allegations appeared baseless. However, following official procedure, the police have initiated a probe.
SSP Neeraj Jadon confirmed that the inquiry has been assigned to the Bannadevi Superintendent of Police, who is now examining the claims made in both the letters.
