Kaushambi Road Accident: At least eight people, including five women and three children, died, and several others were injured after a pickup vehicle lost control and collided with a parked trailer in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district on Friday, March 27. The accident occurred around 3:45 PM on Friday near Dorma on the National Highway in the Saini Kotwali area.
According to a report by Jagran.com, the pickup was returning from Prayagraj after a head-shaving (mundan) ceremony when it lost control and struck the trailer parked near the Dorma petrol pump on the National Highway in the Saini Kotwali area. The impact of the collision was so severe that eight people, including five women and three children, died on the spot and the vehicle was completely destroyed.

Eight people, including five women and three children, died in the incident, while 10 others were injured.
As soon as the accident information was received, police and administrative officials rushed to the scene and began relief and rescue operations. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. A large crowd gathered at the accident site.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the accident. According to preliminary information, the pickup reportedly lost control and collided with the parked trailer in Kaushambi. Further details are awaited.
CM Yogi Adityanath Expresses Condolences
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the road accident in Kaushambi district and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. The Chief Minister directed officials to rush to the site and begin relief and rescue operations.
