Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for multiple parts of northern and central India. According to the latest forecast, the weather in Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, and Rajasthan is expected to change rapidly on Sunday. Many districts in these states are likely to experience cloud cover and intermittent rain, accompanied by strong winds blowing at speeds of 40 to 50 kilometres per hour.
Clear skies and bright sunshine across Delhi-NCR are expected to push the daytime temperature to around 32-33 degrees Celsius, intensifying the heat and making conditions feel warmer through the afternoon.

Punjab And Haryana Weather
Weather conditions will remain largely dry across western and central Uttar Pradesh, though a few Terai districts may see partly cloudy skies. Meanwhile, Punjab and Haryana will continue to experience mostly clear weather, with a slight dip in night temperatures bringing pleasant mornings and evenings.
Madhya Pradesh Weather
The intense heat has started affecting Madhya Pradesh and the mercury remains above normal in cities like Indore and Bhopal.
There is a possibility of light snowfall and rain in the higher areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand due to the activation of a fresh western disturbance.
Cold winds are blowing along with movement of clouds in the Chardham areas of Uttarakhand, while the weather is dry and hot in the lower plains like Dehradun and Haridwar.
Rain Likely In Himachal
Thunderstorms are also expected in some mid-altitude areas of Himachal, keeping the temperatures there much lower than in the plains.
Tamil Nadu Weather
IMD has stated that several districts of Tamil Nadu are set to witness light to moderate rainfall for the next few days. Along with the rain, these regions are also likely to receive thunderstorms and lightning. The continuous rain is likely to reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing relief from the rising heat. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and plan their days accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.
The IMD has asserted that several states have received rain in March due to an untimely formation of a western disturbance. While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Tiruppur, Tenkasi, Coimbatore, Madurai, Theni, Nilgiris, and Salem, are likely to witness thunderstorms with light to moderate rain. The continuous rainfall is likely to lead to waterlogging in the lower regions, leading to inconveniences to the daily commuters.
