Jagran Correspondent, Greater Noida: In a major update for the farmers of Uttar Pradesh, the Yamuna Authority is soon likely to issue allotment letters to the concerned farmers for seven per cent of their population plots. As per the reports, the preparations are in the final stage, and the letters will be delivered by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The allotment letters will be handed over to 5,100 farmers in the first phase, reported Jagran, citing officials.
YEIDA's Preparation In Final Stage
The Yamuna Authority acquires or purchases land from the farmers for development projects and offers seven per cent of their population plots in return. However, the farmers of several villages in the NCR region have not received any plot for a long time. Earlier this year, the farmers' associations urged the authority to issue them the allotment letters.
As per the reports, the authority has already issued reservation letters to 7,035 of the 11,211 farmers. Apart from this, plots have already been allocated to 4,176 farmers. While providing details, authority CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh stated that allotment letters for 5,100 plots will soon be distributed to farmers.
Farmers Of Several Villages To Get Benefit
He further assured that the planning for the allotment of the remaining plots is also underway. The farmers of several villages will be given the allotment letters, including Gunpura, Mathurapur, Moonjkheda, Aurangpur, Bela Kala, Salarpur, Mustafabad, Rampur Bangar, Chandpur, Mirzapur, Rustampur, Parasul, Usmanpur, Dungarpur Reelka, Achhepur, Pachokra, Achheja Buzurg, Nilouni Shahpur, Dhanauri, Kadarpur, Raunija, Tirthali, and Virampur.
In separate news, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has changed the alignment of the Aqua Link Line project. The changes were made after the residents of Noida 44 raised objections to the route proposed by the metro authority. As per the reports, the residents questioned the Detailed Project Report (DPR) that suggested the metro line pass through the sector.
