Ranchi Police Solve Budhmu Murder Case In 48 Hours; Man Killed Over Rs 2.5 Lakh Debt, 4 Arrested

Ranchi Police have solved the murder of Piyush alias Ibrar Ansari in the Budhmu police station area within 48 hours. Burdened by a debt of Rs 250,000, Sameer Ansari planned the murder with his associates, Sahil Tudu and Ram Murmu. Police have arrested four accused along with weapons, live ammunition, and a motorcycle. The action was carried out by a special team formed on the instructions of the SSP of Ranchi.

Ranchi Police Solve Budhmu Murder Case In 48 Hours; Man Killed Over Rs 2.5 Lakh Debt, 4 Arrested

The Ranchi Police have solved the murder case of Piyush alias Ibrar Ansari in the Budhmu police station area within 48 hours. Four accused have been arrested in connection with the crime. Police have also recovered weapons, live ammunition and the vehicle used in the offense.

The Crime And Motive

The case (Budhmu PS Case No. 82/25) was registered following a complaint by the deceased's uncle, Mohd Ekram, a resident of Hafuwa village in Ramgarh district. Piyush had been shot dead by unknown criminals, and his body was thrown beside the railway track near the bridge over the Saraidah Karamboha river.

Confession: During interrogation, the primary accused, Sameer Ansari, confessed to the crime. He revealed that he had borrowed Rs 2,50,000 from the victim about six months ago.

The Trigger: Frustrated by Piyush's constant demands and pressure to repay the loan, Sameer hatched a conspiracy with his associates, Sahil Tudu and Ram Murmu, to eliminate him. They shot Piyush and disposed of the body near the railway tracks.

Police Action And Arrests

Acting on the instructions of the SSP Ranchi, a special team was formed under the leadership of the Superintendent of Police (Rural).

The Raid: On January 2, acting on technical intelligence, the team raided Chhapar Barwatoli village and apprehended Sameer Ansari and Sahil Tudu.

Further Arrests: Based on their statements, police arrested Ram Murmu and Naresh Marandi.

Recovery Of Weapons

Following information provided by the accused, the police raided the house of Naresh Marandi, where the weapons were hidden.

Seized Items: One country-made pistol with a magasine, one country-made firearm, nine live rounds, a mobile phone and the motorcycle used in the crime.

Sahil Tudu (Son of Mahadev Tudu, Resident of Chhapar Barwatoli, Budhmu, Ranchi)

Ram Murmu (Son of Manoj Murmu, Resident of Chhapar Barwatoli, Budhmu, Ranchi)

Naresh Marandi (Son of Devram Manjhi, Resident of Pachanda, Barkagaon, Hazaribagh)
