In view of the increased passenger rush, the Railways have decided to provide additional coach facilities on several trains operating under the Ranchi Rail Division to accommodate waitlisted passengers.
An additional second-class sleeper coach was added to the 18603 Ranchi-Godda Express on Saturday. Similarly, an extra second-class sleeper coach will be attached to the 18611 Ranchi-Varanasi Express on January 23. Another second-class sleeper coach was added to the 18640 Ranchi-Ara Express on Saturday.

Meanwhile, to ease congestion at Tatanagar railway station platforms and in the yard area under the Chakradharpur division, the Hatia-Tata-Hatia MEMU service will be partially curtailed. Until January 31, the MEMU train will terminate and originate from Adityapur station instead of Tatanagar.
Railway officials said the temporary arrangement has been made to ensure smoother passenger movement and reduce overcrowding during the peak travel period.
