Pet Sematary, again by Stephen King, delves into the dark side of grief. The storyline is of a burial site that has the power to revive the dead, with terrifying effects. There’s just so much emotion tied into this horror story that you will be glued to the book till the last page.
Horrorstör
Grady Hendrix’s book, Horrorstör, is even scarier. The storyline revolves around a store, which is a haunted space of consumerist terrors. At first, the book seemed hilarious to me, until the real horror starts terrifying you to the core.

Harvest Home by Thomas Tryon is about outsiders getting trapped in the rural cult’s pagan rituals while weaving paranoia through slow-burning threads to create unforgettable rituals. It has folk-horror elements which spark deep-rooted primal fear.
