Ajit Pawar Death: Amid the demands for a probe into the tragic death of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash, his uncle and political mentor, Sharad Pawar, has stated that his death was a pure accident. He asserted that Pawar's death has left a void in the politics of the state and his family, further urging the opposition leaders to not politicise the matter. Just a few hours after Pawar's death, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had demanded a probe into the accident, backed by other opposition leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.

In his first reaction after Pawar's death, Sharad Pawar ruled out the conspiracy talks, asserting that his death has left a big void. The 85-year-old socialist leader further stated that it was a pure accident, further urging the opposition leaders to not bring politics into this. "There's no conspiracy involved; it's purely an accident. Maharashtra has suffered a huge loss with the passing of Ajit Pawar. A capable leader has left us today. Maharashtra has lost a great personality today. This loss can never be compensated," Sharad Pawar asserted.

"Everything is not in our hands. I feel helpless. Crying may seem shameful. Some incidents have no politics behind them, and I have clearly stated my stance on this. Please don't bring politics into this, that's all I want to say," he added.
