The South Central Railways is likely to launch the first Vande Bharat Express in Maharashtra’s Marathwada to boost connectivity in the region. The semi-high-speed train is expected to run on the Jalna-Mumbai route via Aurangabad railway station.
The progress of the train service is underway and the authorities will soon start the track testing work on the Jalna-Manmad section of the route. An official announcement about the beginning of operations will be made after the proposal gets approval from the Railway Board, reported TOI.
A South Central Railway (SCR) said that the Vande Bharat Express on the route is expected to run at an average speed of 130 kmph as just a few Vande Bharat Express are expected to run above the 100 kmph speed. The report also stated that the operation will likely begin between the last week of December and the start of the new year.
The railway division has also hired a team of professionals who will be taking care of all the train operations and they are undergoing training for their role at Secunderabad.
The Indian Railways is also set to operate a Vande Bharat Express from Patna to Lucknow via Ayodhya. The train will provide devotees in Bihar with a new option for a comfortable and swift experience to reach the holy city of Ayodhya and Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow.
The Patna-Lucknow Vande Bharat with a stoppage in Ayodhya is being introduced in anticipation of a massive crowd of devotees who will visit the Ram Temple after its inauguration in January, next year. The train is also likely to be halted at Arrah Junction in the Bhojpur district of Bihar.
