2. Kukke Subramanya Temple, Kukke - The Hindu deity Lord Shiva and his consort Devi Parvati are worshipped in the Kukke Subramanya Temple. It is one of the most significant Hindu pilgrimage sites on the south Indian coast. Up to 8,000 people visit the Kukke Subramanya temple daily, while 100,000 come here weekly during big holidays like Ganesh Chaturthi and Shivaratri.

4. Mahabaleshwara Temple, Gokarna - Devoted to Lord Shiva, the Mahabaleshwara Temple is located in Gokarna. Lord Vishnu's avatar Parashurama is said to have transported the temple's deity, who was originally from Kashi, to this location. According to legend, Parashurama hurled his axe, which is still there, into this temple after chopping off the head of Mahisha, the Buffalo Demon. 

5. Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Srirangapatna - Situated in Srirangapatna, India, the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple is one of the most significant Hindu temples. The Hindu deity Vishnu and his wife Lakshmi, also known as Padmanabha and Ranganatha, are enshrined in the temple. Constructed over a period of eight centuries, the temple showcases a fusion of Dravidian architectural elements with Hoysala and Vijayanagara styles. 

6. Murudeshwara Temple, Murudeshwara - The Hindu town of Murudeshwara, which is close to Shimoga, is home to the Shiva-focused Murudeshwara Temple. Situated on a hill known as Panchkula, Lord Shiva is the principal deity here. During his reign from 345 to 380 AD, King Mayuravarma I of the Kadamba dynasty constructed this magnificent temple. 

7. Durga Temple, Aihole - This temple, which was constructed in the seventh century by the Chalukyan dynasty, is an excellent representation of early Chalukyan architecture. The walls of the temple are decorated with elaborate carvings that tell several Hindu mythological tales.
