Messi witnessed an incredible reception from the fans. A trip to Mumbai will be the third leg of Messi's much-awaited India tour.
Messi will arrive in Mumbai on December 14 and will begin the event in the afternoon. The legendary footballer is scheduled to participate in the Padel Cup at the Cricket Club of India. Later in the evening, he will participate in a football match involving various celebrities. Furthermore, there is an event planned at the Wankhede Stadium, which will be followed by a charity show as well.
Messi is expected to meet the Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and cricket legends Rohit Sharma and Sachin Tendulkar. Virat Kohli, who landed in Mumbai on Saturday, could also attend Messi's event.
Messi, who is on his second India trip, was left touched by the fans in Hyderabad, and his heartfelt words reflected that. "Thank you very much for all your affection. It's an honour for us to be able to spend these days here in India with you, so I'm truly grateful. Thank you so much," said Messi.

In a disappointing turn of events, Messi's outing in Kolkata didn't go as planned, as huge chaos erupted during his event at the Salt Lake Stadium. As soon as Messi left the venue as a precautionary measure amid security concerns, fans ended up vandalising the stadium in anger and expressed their disappointment, having not been able to even see Messi despite paying heavy prices for the tickets.
