World Record Qualification Sets Up Gold Medal Finish
Sheetal and Toman entered the final as the top seeds after an outstanding performance in the compound mixed team ranking round. Their score of 1,402 points bettered the previous world record by two points, underlining their form ahead of the medal match.
The qualification performance gave the Indian duo a strong platform, which they converted into gold with a composed display against Indonesia.
The victory added another highlight to India’s para-archery campaign, with the pair delivering both a record-breaking qualification score and a gold-medal finish.
