The UEFA Champions League 2026-27 delivered another action-packed night on Tuesday, November 3, with some of Europe's biggest clubs producing impressive performances.

While Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Villarreal 6-0, Barcelona cruised past Aston Villa and Bayern Munich secured a crucial away victory against Atletico Madrid.

However, the biggest talking point came from Old Trafford, where Manchester United staged a remarkable second-half comeback to defeat AS Roma 3-2 after trailing by two goals. The result provided a much-needed boost for Michael Carrick, who has been under pressure amid United's difficult run of form.

Manchester United Stage Stunning Comeback Against Roma

Manchester United produced one of the most dramatic results of the Champions League matchday after recovering from a two-goal deficit to beat Roma 3-2 at Old Trafford.

Roma started brilliantly and took control of the contest through Matias Soule's 11th-minute strike before Donyell Malen converted a penalty in the 18th minute. United were struggling to find answers, while the early deficit increased the pressure on Carrick and his team.

However, the hosts returned with a different approach after the break. Bruno Fernandes converted a retaken penalty in the 58th minute to give United hope before Matheus Cunha took centre stage.

The Brazilian forward scored twice in quick succession in the 83rd and 86th minutes to complete an incredible turnaround and secure all three points for the English side.

Cunha was sent off in stoppage time after receiving a second yellow card, but the dismissal did little to take away from United's dramatic victory. The result also ended their nine-match winless run in all competitions.

PSG Thrash Villarreal, Set Champions League Record

Paris Saint-Germain delivered the most dominant performance of the night, recording a stunning 6-0 victory against Villarreal away from home.

The defending champions were unstoppable from the opening minutes, scoring four goals inside the first 17 minutes. Joao Neves, Desire Doue, Senny Mayulu and Fabian Ruiz found the net during the remarkable opening spell.

Ruiz added his second goal shortly after the restart before teenager David Boly completed the scoring in the 78th minute on his Champions League debut.

PSG's four-goal opening burst set a new competition record for the quickest team to reach that mark in a Champions League match. The victory also kept Luis Enrique's side perfect in the league phase, taking them to 12 points.

Barcelona and Bayern Munich Register Important Victories

Barcelona also enjoyed a comfortable evening, defeating Aston Villa 3-0 at Camp Nou. Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the seventh minute before Raphinha took charge after the interval.

The Brazilian winger scored twice in the 52nd and 64th minutes to complete a convincing victory for Hansi Flick's side.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich secured a hard-fought 2-0 win against Atletico Madrid in Spain. After a competitive first half, teenager Lennart Karl broke the deadlock early in the second period.

Konrad Laimer then doubled Bayern's advantage in the 74th minute after receiving an excellent pass from Harry Kane.
