As the last training camps are being conducted, Indian shooters are preparing themselves to be in prime form at the Asian Games.
The focus of the NRAI on accuracy, psychological preparation, and monitoring of performance reflects India's goal of doing well at the global level.
According to the schedule, the selected rifle and pistol shooters will start their training at the MP State Shooting Academy from September 5 to September 14, while skeet camp has already commenced at the Karni Singh Shooting Range and trap shooters will participate in the camp from September 10 to September 18.
As the event gets closer, the focus of these camps will be on polishing the technical aspects of the preparation and making sure that shooters are mentally ready for the competition.
NRAI High Performance Director Pierre Beauchamp highlighted the importance of the final phase of preparation, stressing that the focus will now shift from training volume to precision and mental conditioning.
"At this stage, our focus shifts from volume to precision, mental conditioning, and technical refinement.
"The structure of these final camps allows our sports science and coaching teams to closely monitor each athlete's performance metrics and ensure they peak exactly when they step onto the range at the Asian Games," Beauchamp said.
