Aadhar Card App update: There are some new and useful upgrades coming to the Aadhar app, so if you have been using the app, this is for you. UIDAI is going to launch the full version of this new Aadhar app on January 28. UIDAI has communicated the same via a post on X (Twitter).
The biggest and most importantly highlighted upgrade in the new Aadhar app with its full version is that it will eliminate the need for physically carrying your Aadhar Card for verification at different spots like hotels, guesthouses or any other location like this; it will swiftly carry out the task through your mobile phone itself without the need to physically carry it. Let's take a look at the features that can be expected after the update.
What Changes Will There Be In The Full Version?
The government has been working behind the scenes to upgrade the Aadhaar app, and the upcoming full version could bring some meaningful changes. One of the key additions may allow users to verify someone else’s Aadhaar number directly through the app. So far, the app has mainly been used to share your own Aadhaar details or display them via a QR code.
What’s new here is the possibility of scanning a QR code to check Aadhaar validity—something that hasn’t been easy until now. If this feature rolls out, it could make Aadhaar verification much faster and more convenient at places like hotels, offices, or anywhere identity checks are required.
Apart from that, functionality will also be enhanced for users, as the app will allow people to make select changes on their own; these include things like address updates. It is also possible that you might be able to change your mobile number as well. No name or email changing option can be seen as of now, but it is expected in the full version.
