Acer has expanded its AI-focused laptop lineup in India with the launch of the new Acer Aspire 5 AI. Designed for users looking for a lightweight machine for work, entertainment, and everyday multitasking, the laptop arrives with Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors, Copilot+ capabilities, and a slim portable design.

The Aspire 5 AI starts at Rs 79,999 and comes in a silver finish. Acer says the laptop will be available through its exclusive retail stores, the official Acer India website, Amazon, Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales.

The laptop features a 14-inch WUXGA IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The company also offers its ComfyView technology that helps to minimise glare during extended use of the device.

As for the hardware specifications, the Aspire 5 AI is equipped with Intel Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7 H series CPUs. The specified configuration features the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H processor with maximum frequencies of 4.5 GHz. The laptop uses integrated Intel graphics and supports up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM alongside up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD storage.

Acer ships the device with Windows 11 Home and positions it as a Copilot+ PC, bringing access to Microsoft’s AI-powered productivity tools and features.

For video calls and meetings, the laptop includes a full HD webcam with a physical privacy shutter, built-in microphones, and dual stereo speakers with HD audio support.

On the connectivity side, the Aspire 5 AI supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 or newer standards. Port configuration consists of two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, HDMI, an SD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a Kensington lock slot.

The laptop features a 53.8Wh battery along with the support for 65W USB Type-C charging. Additionally, the manufacturer offers its model a 180-degree hinge, a backlit keyboard with a separate Copilot button, and a precision touchpad with multi-gesture functionality.

The new laptop has a weight of about 1.2 kg with dimensions of 17.5 mm thickness. The device will cater to customers searching for an AI-enabled lightweight laptop without going to the ultrabook price range.
