Google AI Shopping: The California-based tech giant Google has just introduced a new set of features, and this time it's for the shoppers. Google has gone ahead and integrated its Gemini AI models with its Shopping Graph, which is essentially a huge database of products. To put it simply, reason? This will make product enquiry and discovery smoother. The update is now present in the Gemini app, AI mode in Search and Circle to Search; this integration across the platforms will enhance the user shopping experience, and people will be able to search, browse and purchase products, the company claims. Google has also claimed that the Shopping Graph inventory now has 50 billion items, with 2 billion listings getting updated every hour.

AI Shopping Integrated Across Platforms

Google has now announced that users can shop right from the Gemini app itself; with this, the tech giant claims users will be able to switch from discovery to purchase within a single conversation itself. Google is rethinking how product discovery works. Instead of typing keywords and hopping across multiple websites, users can now explore products right inside the chat itself. This includes curated listings, side-by-side comparisons, real-time pricing, and even direct purchase links.

According to a company blog post, the experience runs on Google’s Shopping Graph, an AI-driven system that pulls product information from across the internet. The idea is to keep everything in one place, whether it’s checking availability, comparing prices, or reading reviews, without the need to jump between tabs or apps. The feature is currently rolling out in both English and Hindi. Apart from this, another upgrade is coming to shopping in AI mode within search. Users will now be able to prompt the AI with conversational queries and get an organised and systematic response with visuals and comparisons of the product as well. The feature will also have detailed insights of the product, ranging from inventory information to reviews.

For this Google gave an example where it says the users will be able to see comparison tables side by side. Users may get image-based results with a link to purchase the product directly. This is currently available in English, and the Hindi rollout of the same is expected to begin soon.

Circle To Search Upgrades

Google is trying to make Circle to Search feel a lot more useful in everyday scenarios as well with its latest update. On supported phones like the Google Pixel 10 and the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, the feature can now recognise more than one thing in an image at the same time.

So if you’re looking at an outfit, you don’t have to search each item separately anymore. Just tap or circle different parts, say the jacket, sneakers, or even a watch, and it will pull up similar options online for each of them.

Google says people already use Circle to Search a lot for shopping, and this update is basically about making that process quicker and more visual. Instead of guessing what to type, you can just point at what you like and go from there. All these latest updates build upon Google's Virtual Try-On Tool, which marked its debut in India last year, a tool that allows you to virtually try on clothes before getting them, reducing some amount of anxiety and confusion.
