Minecraft has just dropped a new snapshot update, which brings some refreshed gameplay, and this update comes just before the game is about to launch something major. What all is there in the update? Well, new changes to baby mobs have been made, apart from new craftable items and technical systems that give the games control over how the mob amplifies. Visuals have received an upgrade as well; with enhanced customisation options, this snapshot update gives players the chance to test out what might form a part of future releases. These changes are up for testing, giving a taste of what's to come next from Sandbox games.

Minecraft said in the official post, “With today's snapshot release, we're bringing you another set of features from our next game drop!” to which they further added, "Dive into testing with new versions of aquatic baby mobs and discover eternal youth!" Making big waves for looking adorably tiny are new baby versions of the axolotl, dolphin, turtle, squid, and glow squid. Don't want them to grow up? Feed your favourite baby mobs a golden dandelion to keep them young forever.”
What's In The New 26.1 Snapshot Update?
Minecraft Snapshot 26.1 brings exciting additions, including new baby versions of several aquatic mobs. Players can now encounter baby axolotls, dolphins, turtles, squids, and glow squids, all featuring updated models and textures that clearly set them apart from adults. Mojang has also tweaked the bounding boxes for baby squid, glow squid, and axolotls to better fit their new appearances.
The update introduces a new item called the Golden Dandelion, crafted by combining a regular dandelion with gold nuggets. When a player uses it on a baby mob, it halts the mob’s ageing process, and using it again allows growth to resume. The Golden Dandelion cannot be applied to hostile baby mobs or villagers.
Adding to that are new sounds that bay chickens make, adding some more variety to the overall experience of the game.
