Motorola has launched the Moto Pad 70 in India, bringing a new Android tablet with a large 12.1-inch display, a 10,200mAh battery and a stylus included in the box.

The tablet is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 6400 chipset and comes with up to 256GB of storage. It also has four speakers with Dolby Atmos and supports 68W wired charging.

The Moto Pad 70 costs Rs. 33,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version. The 8GB + 256GB model is priced at Rs. 36,999.

It will be available from August 15 through Flipkart and Motorola's India website. There's only one colour option for now: Pantone Sea Angel.

Moto Pad 70 specifications

The tablet runs Android 16 and Motorola has promised updates up to Android 18, along with security updates until 2030.

Its 12.1-inch IPS display has a 2.5K resolution of 1,600x2,560 pixels and runs at 90Hz. The screen covers 96 percent of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and has a typical brightness of 600 nits. It can reach up to 800 nits in HBM mode.

The display also has TÜV Rheinland certifications for flicker-free operation and low blue-light emissions.

Inside, the Moto Pad 70 uses an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chip with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Both versions have 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, while storage comes in 128GB and 256GB UFS 2.2 options. A microSD card can be used to add up to 2TB of additional storage.

The tablet has a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. Audio is handled by four Dolby Atmos speakers, along with a dual-microphone setup.

Motorola has also added Gemini and a few AI tools, including Circle to Search, AI Summary and AI Continue Writing.

For connectivity, the Moto Pad 70 supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. There's a USB Type-C port and a pogo-pin connector, while the tablet also gets an accelerometer, ambient light sensor and Hall sensor. It has an IP52 rating for protection against dust and dripping water.

The 10,200mAh battery is one of the tablet's bigger highlights. It supports 68W charging, and Motorola includes the required power adapter in the box.

The bundled Moto Pen supports 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, as well as tilt detection and palm rejection. Motorola is also including its Moto Folio Keyboard, so buyers get both accessories without having to purchase them separately.

The Moto Pad 70 measures 278.8 x 181.05 x 6.49mm and weighs approximately 530 grams.
