Apple has started selling its latest Mac mini and Mac Studio models in India. The company announced the new desktops in August, bringing its latest M-series chips to its compact desktop range.
The new Mac mini is offered with the M6 and M5 Pro chips, while the Mac Studio gets M5 Max and M5 Ultra options. Both desktops run macOS 27 and come with Apple Intelligence features, including Siri. Apple is also positioning the new machines for demanding workloads such as agentic AI, video production, software development and 3D rendering.
Mac Mini M6, M5 Pro Specifications
The new Mac mini gets a fairly substantial hardware upgrade with the M6 chip. It packs a 12-core CPU and a 12-core GPU, with Neural Accelerators built into every GPU core. There is also a dual 16-core Neural Engine for AI workloads.

The base M6 configuration comes with 16GB of unified memory, while buyers can go up to 32GB. Memory bandwidth reaches up to 170GB/s.
Apple claims the M6 Mac mini can deliver up to four times faster AI performance, twice the graphics performance and 40 percent faster CPU performance than the previous-generation model.
Those looking for more performance can opt for the M5 Pro version. It comes with up to an 18-core CPU and 20-core GPU, along with support for up to 64GB of unified memory. The model also offers memory bandwidth of up to 307GB/s.
Connectivity has received an upgrade as well. Both Mac mini variants support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and 2.5Gb Ethernet, while 10Gb Ethernet is available as an option.
Mac Studio M5 Max, M5 Ultra Specifications
The Mac Studio is aimed at users with more demanding workloads and is available with Apple's M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips.
The M5 Max version features an 18-core CPU and can be configured with up to a 40-core GPU with Neural Accelerators. It supports up to 128GB of unified memory.
For even heavier workloads, the M5 Ultra model goes up to a 36-core CPU and 80-core GPU. It can also be configured with up to 512GB of unified memory and offers memory bandwidth of up to 1.2TB/s.
Both Mac Studio models come with Thunderbolt 5, which supports transfer speeds of up to 120Gbps. Apple has also included support for PCIe expansion, external storage and hub solutions.
Another feature aimed at professional users is Remote Direct Memory Access. It allows multiple Mac Studio systems to be connected for distributed AI inference.
The Mac Studio can drive up to eight displays. This includes support for as many as four Studio Display XDR monitors at 5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Apple is also highlighting the new desktops for on-device AI. The GPUs have Neural Accelerators in every core, while dedicated Neural Engines handle AI workloads. Both machines ship with macOS 27 Golden Gate and Apple Intelligence features.
Mac Mini, Mac Studio Price in India
The M6-powered Mac mini starts at Rs. 99,900, while the version with the M5 Pro chip starts at Rs. 2,09,900. Students and educators can get the M6 model for Rs. 88,900, with the M5 Pro variant priced from Rs. 1,97,900.
The Mac Studio, meanwhile, starts at Rs. 2,79,900 with the M5 Max chip. The M5 Ultra version starts at Rs. 6,29,900. Education pricing brings the starting prices down to Rs. 2,56,900 and Rs. 5,84,900, respectively.
Apple is also offering configure-to-order options for both desktops. This lets buyers pick different combinations of chip, memory and storage depending on their requirements.
Both models are now available through Apple Store locations, the Apple website and the Apple Store app in India. They can also be purchased from Apple Authorised Resellers. Apple says the Mac Studio configuration with 512GB of unified memory will be available later in October.
