Hideo Kojima is soon going to release a new title, Physint, which is an espionage action game made by Kojima Productions and Xbox. Now, Kojima has revealed the members who will play their part in the game's cast, and headlining is the Swedish actor Bill Skarsgard, who has played parts in horror movies like 'It' and 'Nosferatu'. He is slated to play the role of the lead character in Kojima's latest entry as well.

Game's Starcast Revealed

This update by Kojima was shared at Xbox's Tokyo Game Show broadcast that took place on Thursday, and it was confirmed that the title was making "steady progress". Kojima also clarified his bit on the casting that is being done for the game.

The main character will now be played by Skasgard who is best known for his role in the horror movie 'It', where he played Pennywise the clown, which was in fact the main role in that movie, and he is also known for his role in 'It Chapter Two' for the same. The character is said to join other cast members like Don Lee, Charlee Fraser, and Minami Hamabe, who were confirmed as cast members last year.

In a video announcement shared by Kojima Productions and Xbox, the industry legend said, "We are both long-time fans of each other's work, and we've decided to embark on this new adventure together,”. Adding further, "The costume fittings, scans, and camera tests we conducted with Bill and Charlee earlier this year gave me tremendous confidence in the direction of the project.”

Some behind-the-scenes footage was also shared by Kojima, where Skasgard can be seen in a costume, giving fans a sneak peek at what the character might look like in the game. The early work on Physint has already given Hideo Kojima a clearer idea of how the project is shaping up. Kojima Productions had Skarsgard and Fraser go through costume fittings, scans and camera tests earlier this year, and Kojima said the results gave him “tremendous confidence” in the direction of the game.

Kojima also marked the casting announcement with a new Physint poster. It features a photo of Skarsgard and Fraser that was taken by Kojima himself. The studio is not done revealing the cast yet, with more announcements expected in the future.

Kojima Shares Fresh Update On OD

There was also some news on OD, the horror game being developed by Kojima Productions in partnership with Xbox. Kojima said work on the title is progressing smoothly and that the game remains on schedule.

The latest announcement also included a glimpse behind the scenes. Kojima Productions and Xbox showed performance capture footage from the production, featuring Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer, who are part of the game's cast.

Kojima used the update to thank Xbox for continuing to support his vision. The company is serving as the publishing partner for both OD and Physint.

The Xbox partnership for Physint was confirmed last week after Sony stepped away from the project. The espionage action title was originally announced by PlayStation and Kojima Productions in 2024.

The relationship between Kojima Productions and Xbox is not limited to these two games either. The companies are also working together on new stories and projects for film and television.
