OnePlus hasn't revealed much about the OnePlus 16 yet, but the next flagship is starting to show up in leaks. A new certification from China has now revealed some of the phone's connectivity details, while another leak has again pointed to Qualcomm's upcoming top-end chipset.

The certification was filed by Oppo Guangdong Mobile Communications on July 31. It lists a phone with the model number PYB110. The OnePlus 16 isn't named in the document, but tipster Digital Chat Station claims the device is the upcoming OnePlus flagship.

The listing shows support for GSM, WCDMA, TD-LTE, LTE FDD, 5G and WLAN. Among the frequencies mentioned is the 4,800-4,960MHz range, which corresponds to the N79 5G band. Several other cellular and wireless frequency ranges are listed as well.

The chipset could be where things get more interesting. Digital Chat Station has again claimed that the OnePlus 16 will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. The chip hasn't been announced yet, so there's no official confirmation from either Qualcomm or OnePlus.

Leaks around the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series suggest Qualcomm could move to a 2nm manufacturing process, along with newer Oryon CPU cores and updated Adreno graphics. The Pro model is expected to be the most powerful chip in the series.

OnePlus has already confirmed that gaming will be a big part of the OnePlus 16. The company has teased three features for the phone: Wind Chaser Gaming Core, High Refresh Rate and E-Sports Triple Chip.

The phone is expected to launch in China during the second half of 2026, although OnePlus hasn't announced an exact date yet.

There's also a possible change to the RAM options. A previous report claimed that OnePlus could bring back an 8GB RAM version with the OnePlus 16. The company hasn't offered an 8GB model in its flagship lineup since the OnePlus 11 launched in 2023.

The base model is reportedly being considered at CNY 4,999, which is roughly Rs. 71,000, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. That's higher than the OnePlus 15's starting price in China. The OnePlus 15 launched in October 2025 at CNY 3,999, or around Rs. 56,000, for the 12GB RAM and 256GB version.

For now, the certification is the closest thing we have to an official glimpse of the OnePlus 16. Everything else, including the chipset and possible pricing, remains based on leaks until OnePlus says otherwise.
