Oppo has just dropped the Reno 16 5G series in the international market outside China, and the lineup comes with the Oppo Reno 16 5G, 16 Pro 5G, as well as the 16F 5G smartphones. The Reno 16 5G and Reno 16 Pro 5G sport a 6,000mAh battery and also have 80W fast charging; on the flip side, the Reno 16F 5G comes with a 7,000mAh battery but has the same 80W charging capacity, which is wired. Both the Oppo Reno 16 5G and Reno 16 Pro 5G run on ColorOS 16.0 and feature a 6.32-inch Full HD+ Crystal Guard+ AMOLED display with a 93.4 per cent screen-to-body ratio and up to a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The screens can reach up to 1,800 nits of brightness in high brightness mode and are protected by Crystal Guard glass. The standard model supports a 120Hz refresh rate, while the Pro version takes it a step further with a 144Hz panel.
Inside the device, the Reno 16 5G runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, whereas the Reno 16 Pro 5G is embedded with the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset.
As far as the camera department is concerned, the Reno 16 5G comes with a triple rear shooter setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and 2-axis OIS, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2-axis OIS, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
The Reno 16 Pro 5G, meanwhile, includes a 200-megapixel wide-angle camera with 2-axis OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2-axis OIS. Both smartphones feature a 50-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
The two phones share the same connectivity features and sensor suite as the Reno 16F 5G. They are backed by a 6,700mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. The Reno 16 5G measures 151.21×72.42×8.22mm and weighs around 182g, while the Reno 16 Pro comes in at 151.21×72.42×8.20mm with the same weight.
The Reno 16 lineup also introduces Oppo's AI Snap Key, a customisable shortcut button that can instantly capture screenshots, start screen recording, save voice notes, or launch AI Mind Space depending on whether users short-press, long-press, or double-press the key.
Additionally, all three models support the new Oppo Bubble screen accessory. The wireless display magnetically attaches to the phone and functions as a live rear camera viewfinder. It connects over Bluetooth and is available in a silver finish.
Price and Availability
Now let's take a look at the pricing of the smartphones. The Reno 16F 5G for the 8GB+12GB version carries the price tag of THB 15,999, which roughly translates to Rs 45,000. There is also a higher 256 GB version with the same RAM; it costs THB 16,999, which is INR 48,000. The colourways that come with the device are Pop White, Dream Purple and Twilight Violet.

The Oppo Reno 16 Pro 5G for the 12GB+256GB is costing THB 26,999 in Thailand, which means roughly a pricing of Rs 76,000, and the colourways that it will come with are starlight black and pop white. The non-pro variant, on the other hand, with its 8GB+256GB configuration, is priced at THB 19,999, which means Rs 56,000 approx., and the higher 12GB+256GB variant comes for THB 22,999, which is roughly 65,000 in INR, and it will have the shades Dream Purple, Twilight Violet and Pop White.
