Oura has officially unveiled the Oura Ring 5 globally, introducing a slimmer design, upgraded sensors, and a fresh set of AI-backed health and wellness tools. The latest smart ring arrives as the successor to the Oura Ring 4 and focuses heavily on deeper health tracking and personalised insights.

The Oura Ring 5 starts at $399 (roughly Rs. 38,000) for the Silver and Black variants, while the Gold, Stealth, Brushed Silver, and Deep Rose finishes are priced at $499 (roughly Rs. 47,600). It is available in sizes 6 to 13 and comes bundled with a size-specific charger. Oura has not yet confirmed India pricing or availability details.

Customers can pre-order the wearable through Oura’s official website and partner retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Target, Walmart, and several international outlets. Alongside the ring, the company has also introduced a dedicated Oura Ring 5 Charging Case priced at $99 (roughly Rs. 9,400). Oura Membership continues to be sold separately at $5.99 per month or $69.99 annually.

In terms of design, the Oura Ring 5 uses a lightweight titanium build and is claimed to be 40 percent smaller than its predecessor. The company says it also features a stronger physical vapour deposition coating for improved durability and scratch resistance. The wearable carries an IP68 rating and supports water resistance up to 100 metres.

Oura says the new ring features an upgraded signal architecture with redesigned low-profile sensor domes, enhanced LEDs, and 12 improved signal pathways. According to the company, these changes improve tracking accuracy across different finger shapes and skin tones.

One of the biggest additions is a new Health Radar system, which expands on Oura’s existing Symptom Radar feature. It continuously studies biometric patterns and currently includes Blood Pressure Signals and Nighttime Breathing monitoring. Blood Pressure Signals is designed to identify trends linked to cardiovascular strain, while Nighttime Breathing offers users a 30-day overview of breathing disturbances during sleep.

The Oura Ring 5 also introduces Live Activity Tracking, allowing users to monitor workouts in real time through the Oura app. Oura has further expanded its metabolic health tools with GLP-1 Insights, a feature aimed at users taking GLP-1 medications.

Other additions include Oura Health Records, which combines clinical health information with data captured by the ring’s sensors. The company has also partnered with Counsel Health to bring AI-powered healthcare support, while an upgraded Advisor AI system delivers more personalised wellness suggestions.

Oura has added a new Locate feature as well, helping users find misplaced rings or charging cases. There is also a Data Deletion tool that allows selective removal of specific periods of stored health data.

The company confirmed that features such as Health Radar, Blood Pressure Signals, Nighttime Breathing, and GLP-1 Insights will begin rolling out in India in June 2026 for users running the Oura app in English. Meanwhile, Live Activity Tracking, Locate, and Data Deletion are scheduled for a global rollout on June 4.
