POCO is gearing up to add another budget-range smartphone to its popular M-series lineup with the impending launch of POCO M8 5G in the Indian market. The company has also kickstarted the teasers for the handset, providing a sneak peek into the design as well as the cameras. Alongside the M8 5G, there might be a Pro variant.
Design and Teaser Highlights
POCO has also posted a design teaser for the M8 5G recently, showing the back design of the phone. The phone comes with a dual-toned back in black, which features vertical stripe patterns on both sides. The design is not different from the soon-to-be-launched Redmi Note 15 5G, taking cues from the Xiaomi portfolio.

The rear camera module is placed at the centre of the rear panel. It comes with a square island design with rounded corners that is slightly raised above the surface. The main rear camera has been confirmed to be a 50MP AI camera by POCO. The camera module comes with three lenses and an LED flash, but the details about the other cameras have not been shared yet.
The teaser further shows that it has physical buttons positioned on the right-hand side, such as the power button and volume buttons. The edges are rounded, which is an indicator that it can be handled easily.
Availability and Variants
POCO has already confirmed that it would be selling the M8 5G model in India through Flipkart, and a special microsite has been set up that shows that it would be arriving soon after its launch. The device is expected to be available in several colour variants, such as black, blue, and silver and black variants.
The POCO M8 5G variant has already acquired certifications like BIS, NBTC, IMDA, and TDRA, which implies that the deployment may not be limited to only India.
