Xiaomi has seemingly rolled out the global version of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Although this launch is taking place months after the same device got released in China. Moreover, the company has not yet published their global offering in the listing section, according to GSMArena the global variant does not resemble the Chinese one too much, and the differences are difficult to overlook.

At first look, the international variant of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ exudes more ambition. It sports an upgraded main camera of 200MP pixels compared to the 50MP one seen on the China variant. Even charging speed has been boosted to 100W fast charging from 80W fast charging on the China variant.

Battery And Camera Comprise Trigger Concerns

Nevertheless, these improvements go hand in hand with some key compromises. Xiaomi has downgraded the battery to a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon cell from the 7,000mAh battery present in its Chinese variant. What is more noteworthy is the abandonment of the telephoto camera in the international variant.

What this means is that now the phone comes with a 200MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and digital portrait photography capabilities. The third hole in the leaked rendering appears to be a dummy hole, which seems like a wasted opportunity, even in a market like India that focuses on photography.

Display, Durability, and Core Hardware Remain the Same

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ sports a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, support for a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits. Except for a minor variation in the display resolution to 2772 x 1280, other parameters are the same as the Chinese model.

Durability is still strong, with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings remaining unaffected. Xiaomi has now changed the protective glass on the display to Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which is the same type as on the Redmi Note 14 Pro+.

As for the internals, it comes with the same Snapdragon 7s Gen chipset along with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. Other specifications include the 32MP front camera, in-display fingerprint reader, dual speakers with Dolby Atmos audio simulation technology, HyperOS, eSIM connectivity, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Connectivity And India Launch Outlook

The device also supports Xiaomi’s Offline Communication, which facilitates kilometre-level voice calling between devices in areas with no network connectivity, in addition to supporting the Surge T1S Tuner for better signal stability.

Even though the Redmi Note 15 series is coming to India soon sometime in January, 2026, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ series is not announced for the region. Since the upgrades of the Redmi Note 15 series are not entirely different from the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ series, the pricing of the Pro+ series might need to be aggressive in 2026.
