Xiaomi has expanded its flagship smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Xiaomi 17T. The latest addition to the Xiaomi 17 series brings a Leica-backed camera system, a dedicated 5x periscope telephoto lens, a large AMOLED display, and a sizeable 6,500mAh battery with fast charging support.

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset and ships with Android 16-based HyperOS 3 out of the box.

Xiaomi 17T Price In India, Availability

The Xiaomi 17T starts at Rs. 59,999 for the variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Customers opting for the 12GB + 512GB model will need to pay Rs. 64,999.

As part of the introductory offers, Xiaomi is providing an instant discount of Rs. 5,000 on purchases made using select HDFC Bank, SBI Card, American Express, and ICICI Bank cards. Buyers who do not wish to avail of the bank offer can instead choose a Rs. 5,000 exchange bonus.

HDFC Bank card users can also receive up to Rs. 5,000 cashback. With the instant discount applied, the effective prices come down to Rs. 54,999 for the 256GB variant and Rs. 59,999 for the 512GB model.

The company is additionally offering up to 18 months of no-cost EMI and zero down payment options. Xiaomi has also introduced an assured buyback programme, promising up to 60 percent value retention within a year of purchase. According to the company, this could bring the effective one-year ownership cost of the base variant down to around Rs. 19,000.

Alongside the smartphone, buyers will receive complimentary subscriptions to Spotify Premium Standard for four months, YouTube Premium for three months, and Google AI Pro for three months.

The Xiaomi 17T will be available for purchase from June 10 through Xiaomi's official website, Amazon, and authorised Xiaomi retail stores across India.

The Xiaomi 17T features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits. The dual-SIM smartphone runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.

Under the hood, the handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor paired with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage. To keep temperatures in check during intensive tasks, Xiaomi has equipped the device with its 3D IceLoop cooling system.

Leica-Tuned Camera Setup

Photography duties are handled by a Leica-engineered triple rear camera setup. The system includes a 50-megapixel Light Fusion 800 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel Leica 5x periscope telephoto camera, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide shooter.

The periscope camera offers a 115mm equivalent focal length and supports Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), helping improve image stability while zooming and shooting in challenging conditions.

Battery, Connectivity And Durability

The Xiaomi 17T is backed by a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 67W HyperCharge fast charging. It also supports 22.5W reverse charging, allowing users to power compatible devices and accessories.
