The Xiaomi brand of headphones has been added to the growing collection of Xiaomi’s audio wearables in China. These include the latest release by Xiaomi, which is called the Xiaomi Clip. This model of earphones was released along with Xiaomi’s Xiaomi 17 Max handset and the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro. While regular earphones are worn inside the ear, the Xiaomi Clip offers an open-ear clip-on design.

The company packed several premium features into the earbuds, including Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, LHDC 5.0 codec support, AI-powered tools, and compatibility with both Android and iOS ecosystems. Xiaomi also added support for Apple’s Find My app, making the earbuds one of the few Android-focused audio products to integrate with Apple’s tracking ecosystem.

Xiaomi Clip Audio And Calling Features

Xiaomi equipped the earbuds with an 11mm dynamic driver that uses a microcrystalline metal-coated diaphragm. According to the company, the setup is designed to deliver sound across a wide 20Hz to 48kHz frequency response range.

The Xiaomi Clip also supports LHDC 5.0 high-resolution audio decoding on compatible devices and carries Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification.

For voice calls, the earbuds feature a triple-microphone setup along with a VPU bone-conduction microphone. Xiaomi said the system helps isolate human voices from surrounding noise to improve clarity during calls, especially in crowded environments.

The company also adopted a directional acoustic structure that uses reverse sound waves to minimise sound leakage and improve privacy while listening to music or attending calls.

AI Features And Apple Ecosystem Support

One of the major highlights of the Xiaomi Clip is the set of AI-powered tools integrated into the Xiaomi Earbuds app. The earbuds support real-time transcription, live interpretation for lectures and videos, call translation, face-to-face conversation translation, AI-generated summaries, and on-device voice recording.

Users can also control recordings directly from the charging case.

Xiaomi further included a talking mode known as the XiaoAI Companion Mode which enables the user to have a more interactive experience with the voice assistant. It can respond to questions about news, weather, and general interactions.

Despite being an Android-focused product, the Xiaomi Clip also supports Apple ecosystem features. The earbuds are compatible with Apple’s Find My app, allowing users to track the charging case as well as each individual earbud separately.

The company also included nearby ringtone finder support and long-distance positioning through Xiaomi HyperOS-connected devices.

Battery, Connectivity And Durability

The Xiaomi Clip supports Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and works with AAC, SBC, and LHDC 5.0 audio codecs. The earbuds also support dual-device connectivity, allowing users to stay connected to two devices at the same time.

Gesture controls are also included. Users can double-tap to play or pause audio and triple-tap to skip tracks.

Each earbud packs a 60mAh battery, while the charging case houses a 510mAh battery with USB Type-C charging support. Xiaomi claimed that a quick 10-minute charge can deliver up to four hours of playback time.

On a full charge, the earbuds are rated to offer up to nine hours of playback in AAC mode and up to 38 hours in total with the charging case.

In terms of durability, the Xiaomi Clip earbuds carry an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance. Each earbud weighs around 5.5g, while the charging case weighs approximately 41.42g.
