Hyderabad Crime News: Two sales executives from a prominent real estate firm in Hyderabad have been arrested for allegedly drugging, raping and beating their 26-year-old female colleague. The incident is said to have occurred in the late hours of June 30.

According to the police, the accused, identified as Sanga Reddy (39) and Janardhan Reddy (25), picked up the woman from near a private hostel in Miyapur on Sunday morning. They claimed they were going for a site visit to Yadadri. However, on their way back to Hyderabad, they stopped the car near an under-construction building around 10:30 pm, saying the vehicle had broken down.

The officers state that the men first offered the woman food, which she declined. Janardhan then gave her a soft drink and a sweet, after which she started feeling dizzy. When she became drowsy after consuming more sweets, the two men allegedly took advantage of the situation. "The two took advantage of this and stripped her, touched her inappropriately, raped her and even beat her," the police officer said, adding that the woman was tortured till 3 am on Monday.

According to Times Of India report, the accused have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including rape, voluntarily causing hurt, insulting the modesty of a woman and cheating. The survivor has been sent for a medical examination.

The case was initially registered as a zero FIR at Uppal police station based on the survivor's complaint, but was later transferred to Miyapur police station as the crime occurred under their jurisdiction.
