The series 'XXX' is an American spy fiction action film franchise conceptualized by Rich Wilkes. The first installment, 'XXX (2002)', hit theaters on August 9, 2002. The movie features Vin Diesel as Xander Cage. Additionally, the movie features Asia Argento, Marton Csokas, and Samuel L. Jackson in prominent roles. Directed by Rob Cohen, who previously helmed 'The Fast and the Furious' (2001), a film in which Diesel also had a starring role.
Vin Diesel stars as an adventurous extreme sports aficionado, stunt performer, and rebellious athlete-turned-reluctant spy for the National Security Agency. His mission involves infiltrating a potential group of Russian terrorists situated in Central Europe, entailing considerable danger. Now, the 2002 release XXX' has made its way to OTT, available for free streaming.
XXX' is now available on JioCinema for free streaming. The synopsis of the film reads, "The NSA decides to approach Xander Cage, an extreme sports enthusiast, in order to bust a Russian criminal organisation. Xander then accepts the deal to escape the criminal charges filed in his name. Will he succeed in the mission?."
The other two films in the franchise are 'XXX: State of the Union (2005) and 'XXX: Return of Xander Cage (2017).
Presently, enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the release of 'XXX 4. Although reports about 'xXx 4' starring Diesel emerged, the film is still pending and hasn't come to fruition yet.
As per Deadline's report, 'xXx 4' remains firmly on The H Collective's upcoming production roster. Additionally, the production company is forging ahead with a sequel to the 2019 horror-superhero flick Brightburn, along with several other exciting projects in the pipeline.
A note in the report reads, "The company's slate has also included a fourth installment in the 'xXx' franchise but there's no update on progress on that project."
