Jeff Cobb had a disappointing debut during WWE Backlash on Saturday as Jacob Fatu was successfully able to defend his United States championship title. An ex-WWE champion reckoned post the event that Cobb's in-ring name will change.
Putting all the speculations to rest, Cobb announced his arrival in WWE in style as he fought with LA Knight in the fatal-four way game while defending Fatu's title. Solo Sikoa was able to distract Knight, who was defeated by the former NJPW World Television champion.
During the Backlash post-show, Big E's panel, which conisted of Peter Rosenberg and Jackie Redmond were then seen talking about the premier live event and then its fallout. The ex-New Day member revealed that Cobb's name might change before his debut match as the member of the Bloodline.
"We saw the debut of a man once referred to as Jeff Cobb. Not entirely sure what he’ll be referred to now," Big E said.
Its a relief for the fans, who aren't in favour of changing name and that Michael Cole and Wade Barett took Jeff Cobb's original name. WWE.com's gallery and video also called him by his name as this is what he is known for.

Even before he was a pro-wrestler, Jeff Coff played for Guam during the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics as an amateur wrestler. Cobb even locked horns with ex-UFC fighter Yoel Romero during the tournament. He turned to pro-wrestling in 2009 and then played a role in WWE way back in 2014.
But one of the biggesr wrestling company didn't give him a contract back then and thats why he joined Lucha underground way back in 2015. He fought there as Matenza Cueto and thus won the Lucha Underground Championship.
Cobb made his impression at New Japan pro wrestling as he was signed in 2017. He is a three IWGP tag team champion, ex NEVER Openweight champion and ex NJPW Television champion. He also used to fight for promotions like Pro Wrestling Guerrila, Ring if honor and all elite wrestling.
