The Awas Vikas Parishad (Housing Development Council) has cleared an encroachment from 3,000 square metres of land in Sector-4, Ghaziabad, under its Siddharth Vihar scheme. Officials claim that encroachers were secretly constructing a boundary wall on the land, which is valued at Rs 40 crore.

The team that arrived at the site was met with resistance from the encroachers, but officials acted firmly to demolish the boundary wall. Superintending Engineer AK Mittal stated that early on Saturday morning, the encroachers had been carrying out construction on the 3,000-square-metre plot in Sector-4 of the Siddharth Vihar scheme, taking advantage of dense fog.

Upon receiving the information, a team from Construction Division-2 immediately reached the site. The encroachers then gathered a crowd and staged a strong protest based on false claims.

The team confronted the opposition steadfastly and, without yielding to pressure, demolished the illegal structure. An FIR has been registered against the illegal encroachers. The team included Assistant Engineers Kamlesh and Aftab, and Junior Engineers Yogendra Gupta, Mukul Vivek, and Ram Kumar Rana.
