The Ghaziabad Development Authority's (GDA) Enforcement Zone-1 team took significant action against illegal constructions and unauthorised colonies on Friday. In the Morti floodplain area, a colony being developed by Ashok Jain on approximately eight bighas of land was demolished, with officials tearing down electricity poles, boundary walls, and the developer's office. A similar demolition drive was carried out against another unauthorised colony named Mahadev Enclave, which was being developed on nine bighas in Morti.

The operation also targeted illegal commercial establishments. In Rajnagar Extension, three illegally operating weighbridges on Morti Road—located opposite AK Children's School and near GD Goenka School—were demolished. Additionally, two shops in Nandgram, built by Sahil Verma in violation of the approved plan, were sealed. When some people protested during the demolitions, they were dispersed by the police and the authority's security squad.

Demolition Drive In Duhai And Dasna

Separately, under the instructions of GDA Vice-Chairman Atul Vats, Enforcement Zone-3 also conducted a major demolition drive against illegally developing colonies.

The team demolished boundary walls, roads, drains, and offices at several sites, including:

- A colony developed by Pramod Sharma on Khasra numbers 1514 and 1519.

- An unauthorised development on nine bighas of land on NDRF Road.

- A four-bigha plot in Dasna developed by Amit Dabas.

- A six-bigha plot near Duhai developed by Sanjeev Chaudhary.

Protestors at these locations were controlled by officials to ensure the successful completion of the action.
