In a major step towards transparency and citizen convenience, the Ghaziabad Police Commissionerate on Monday launched the Commissionerate Court Monitoring System (CCMS), eliminating the need for the public to visit ACP or DCP courts to check the status of cases pending in police courts.

The system allows citizens to view updates related to cases under the Goonda Act, Gangster Act, and BNSS police courts online. Case details can also be accessed directly through a QR code linked to the CCMS portal.

Police Commissioner J Ravinder Goud, while addressing a press conference at Police Lines, said the initiative is part of the Commissionerate’s people-centric reforms undertaken over the past six months, aimed at improving access, transparency, and public trust in the justice system.

He said the new digital system will curb the practice of fraudulent or repeated bail applications across police courts, as all records will now be monitored online, helping prevent issues related to false sureties.

Highlighting recent reforms, the Commissioner said copies of FIRs and post-mortem reports are now being delivered to citizens’ homes, with 5,631 FIRs delivered so far. A feedback cell received 56,231 responses, and action was taken in 39 cases with negative feedback. Complainants at police stations are now being heard through video conferencing, and a courtesy policy has been implemented to make police-citizen interactions more approachable.

Every Wednesday, police stations hold a ‘Complainant Dialogue Day’ to address public grievances, and visitor rooms are being constructed for citizens visiting stations.

Additional Commissioners of Police Alok Priyadarshi and Keshav Kumar Chaudhary, along with DCP City Dhaval Jaiswal, DCP Trans Hindon Nimish Patil, and DCP Traffic Trigun Bisen, were also present at the launch event.
