In a peculiar decision, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) headquarters has sent diesel buses to the Greater Noida depot, which operates CNG-based buses. Awaiting fuel arrangements and permits, these buses are now gathering dust on the depot premises. 

For the convenience of passengers, the Greater Noida depot of UPSRTC recently received two 48-seater mini-buses. Even after more than a month, neither fuel arrangements have been made, nor permits have been received for these buses.

Consequently, both buses are parked on the depot premises. Currently, 117 CNG buses from the Greater Noida depot operate on routes including Noida, Delhi, Agra, Bulandshahr, Dibai, Firozabad, and Aligarh. The depot has a CNG filling station for these buses, but lacks arrangements for diesel buses. As such, arranging fuel for these buses from an external source is also proving to be a difficult task for the depot. 

The depot's Assistant Regional Manager (ARM), Anil Kumar, stated that the depot is entirely CNG-operated. The depot has 117 CNG buses in operation and has its own CNG station. Suddenly, two diesel mini-buses were sent from the headquarters.

To operate them, diesel will have to be procured from an external source, for which no arrangement has yet been made. Additionally, the route permits have not been received.
