A shocking incident of violence rocked the Babugarh police station area on Saturday morning when a man was shot multiple times by motorcycle-borne assailants. The victim, identified as Karamveer, a resident of Shyampur Jatt village, is reportedly in critical condition.

The Incident

The attack occurred at approximately 5:45 am while Karamveer was walking from his home to the village temple. According to reports, two or three unknown assailants approached him on a motorcycle and opened fire from close range.

The attackers fired several rounds, three of which hit Karamveer, leaving him seriously injured and covered in blood. Following the shooting, the assailants managed to flee the scene on their motorcycle. Hearing the gunshots, local residents rushed to the spot to assist the victim.

Medical Status

Upon receiving information about the shooting, the Babugarh police arrived promptly and rushed the injured victim to a local hospital. However, due to the severity of his injuries, doctors referred him to a major medical center in Meerut after initial treatment. His condition remains critical as he undergoes further medical care.

Police Investigation

Babugarh Station In-charge, Inspector Munish Pratap Chauhan, confirmed that a case is being registered against the unknown assailants.

Search Operations: Special teams have been formed to track down the attackers.

Evidence Collection: The investigation is currently relying on CCTV footage from the area and statements from witnesses.
