In the Sardhana police station area, a 22-year-old youth named Aman lost his life after coming into contact with a high-tension (HT) wire while working in a field in Rardhana village. The tragic incident sparked massive outrage among villagers and family members, who placed the body outside the Bhamori power substation and staged a protest, chanting slogans against the Electricity Corporation.

Details Of The Tragic Accident

Aman, son of Gyan Singh and a resident of Rardhana, was engaged in agricultural work with a companion when the accident occurred. A high-tension wire passing through the field had reportedly snapped earlier and was lying on the ground. While working, Aman accidentally stepped on the live wire, resulting in his immediate death due to electrocution.

Angry Protests And Unrest At The Power Station

Upon receiving news of the death, family members and villagers rushed to the spot. They subsequently carried the body to the Bhamori power substation to begin a sit-in protest. The villagers alleged that:

- HT wires passing through fields have been hanging dangerously low for a long time.

- At several locations, these wires are touching tree branches, creating a constant hazard.

- Despite repeated complaints to the Electricity Corporation, no corrective action was ever taken.

- During the demonstration, the agitated crowd reportedly vandalized an employee's scooter and attempted to set it on fire.
