Noida Schools Closed:  All Gautam Buddh Nagar schools have been advised to stay closed for students in Classes 1 to 8 due to the adverse weather. The directive has been issued by the District Basic Education Officer.

In order to protect students' safety and wellbeing in the face of the current weather conditions, schools will be closed on January 16 and 17, 2025, according to the official statement. Schools have been instructed by authorities to follow the directive strictly.

In the days ahead, additional information will be given based on weather assessments.

The operation of classes in all schools of the district resumed on Wednesday after the winter break, but the severe cold continues.

According to BSA, District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma has given instructions for declaring holidays in schools. He said that the cold has been increasing continuously in the last few days. Hybrid Mode For Delhi Schools

The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) has mandated hybrid classes for students up to Class 9 and Class 11 in response to stage four restrictions of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), prompted by the deteriorating air quality in the city.

Following forecasts by the India Meteorological Department and the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology predicting an imminent breach of the 400 AQI mark, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) directed Delhi-NCR authorities to swiftly enforce all stage 3 and 4 measures.
