UP News: M-PACS Membership Campaign Extended, Bareilly, Meerut, Lucknow Lead In New Enrollments

The M-PACS membership drive has been extended until October 3, across UP. Co-operatives Minister JPS Rathore stated that 8,53,543 new members joined the drive and more than 1,00,000 accounts were opened in banks, with deposits totalling Rs 240 crore.

The M-PACS Membership Drive-2025 has been extended until October 31, following its successful run across Uttar Pradesh. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Cooperation JPS Rathore announced that while Sunday was earlier set as the final day of the campaign, which began on September 12, the deadline has been extended in view of the overwhelming response.

So far, 8.53 lakh new members have joined under the drive, and over one lakh new accounts have been opened in District Cooperative Banks. A total of Rs 240 crore has been deposited in these accounts, including Rs 20 crore as share capital.

According to the minister, Bareilly, Meerut, and Lucknow divisions secured the top three spots with 1,09,650, 82,368, and 80,184 new members, respectively. Among districts, Shahjahanpur, Maharajganj, Bulandshahr, Prayagraj, and Pilibhit recorded strong performances.

The campaign also saw 25,774 people enrol as members online. In District Cooperative Banks, Meerut led with 13,677 new accounts, followed by Saharanpur (10,646), Muzaffarnagar (8,815), Kheri (8,264), and Bijnor (6,218).

The highest deposits were recorded in Meerut (Rs 67.43 crore) and Saharanpur (Rs 15.57 crore), while Moradabad, Ghaziabad, and Muzaffarnagar also reported significant contributions.
