Uttar Pradesh is set to witness a major government recruitment drive in 2026, with the state government planning to fill 1,50,000 vacancies across key departments. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath approved the move following a high-level review meeting, marking a significant step in the state’s employment drive.

Officials said the recruitment will cover major departments such as police, education, revenue, health, housing development, prisons, and child development, contributing to the Yogi government’s historic target of providing 10 lakh government jobs in 10 years.

The police department will recruit 30,000 constables, 5,000 sub-inspectors, and 15,000 other posts, while the education department will appoint candidates for positions ranging from assistant teachers to lecturers and principals.

The Revenue Department will see 20,000 openings, primarily for Lekhpal (village revenue officer) posts, while over 30,000 positions will be filled in departments such as Health, Housing Development, Prisons, and Child Development.
