The consumer forum ordered Liberty Showroom to pay Rs 1,700 for the slippers, Rs 2,500 for mental harassment, and Rs 5,000 as litigation expenses by January 8, 2024, the report added.

However, the showroom ignored the consumer forum’s request and took no action to comply. Prompting this, the court issued a non-bailable warrant against the showroom manager. The consumer has written a letter to the district SP, ordering that the accused be arrested by January 2 and that the warrant be executed.
