Gangster Vinay Tyagi has succumbed to his injuries during treatment at AIIMS Rishikesh. He had been battling critical gunshot wounds following an armed attack in Laksar earlier this week.
The Incident
The attack occurred on Wednesday when Tyagi was being transported from the Roorkee sub-jail to the Laksar court for a hearing. Two assailants opened fire on him during the transit. Following the shooting, he was initially given first aid in Haridwar before being rushed to the trauma centre at AIIMS Rishikesh late that evening.

Medical Treatment And Fatal Injuries
Tyagi underwent an emergency operation on Wednesday night, during which a team of doctors successfully removed bullets from his neck and hand. However, the medical team reported that the gunshot wounds had caused severe internal damage, specifically rupturing his intestines.
Following the surgery, the gangster was placed on a ventilator in the ICU ward due to his critical condition. Despite the medical team's efforts, he passed away during treatment.
